USCIS Continues H-1B Fraud Check Visits

November 14, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

If you are not already aware, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has engaged outside investigators to conduct surprise visits to H-1B employers’ offices to verify if the petitions filed are bona-fide.  The employers are chosen randomly.    The investigators who visit the employers are likely to ask questions about the H-1B position, job functions, supervisor’s name (where applicable), physical location where the employee sits or is going to sit.  If the employee is available, he/she is also likely to be asked questions including, but not limited to, name, title, position functions, salary received, photo ID, and copies of pay statements.
